Blackberries

Grown by Hugh Lowe Farms in Kent, the family who've supplied Wimbledon's strawberries since 1993. Sixth-generation growers, picked at peak ripeness, in your box within 48 hours of leaving the field. Glossy and near-black, heavy for their size, sweet at the front with that deep winey note behind it. Eat them the day they arrive, cold from the fridge, by the handful. If they make it to day two, crush a few with sugar and a squeeze of lemon and spoon over thick yoghurt. Or scatter into a pan with butter and a splash of water, cook until they slump, and pour hot over ice cream.
