We don't sell everything. We sell what's best right now. Chosen every week by Jimmy. Summer produce is fleeting, specific, and worth paying attention to.
Behind every box are the people who grow the food. Hugh Lowe Farms have grown soft fruit on the same Kent soil since the 1890s, four generations of the same family, the farm that supplies Wimbledon. The Chinn family cut asparagus in the Wye Valley. We tell you their names, their fields, and why their produce tastes better.
"London Veg Box started out of a frustration with the eternal summer of supermarkets. Everything available. Nothing worth eating. So I built the box I wanted. Vegetables in season, from growers I trust, picked hours before delivery. Once you taste food grown like this, it's hard to go back."
Convenience flattened flavour. Most produce is bred for a global supply chain and a long shelf life, not for the plate. We are putting seasonality and flavour back into everyday eating. We know the growers. We know the soil. You will taste the difference.
“I've tried seven different delivery companies, and yours is the best for me.”
Every week we choose ten of the best vegetables in season. No filler. Every box has at least one thing that stops you in your tracks. That's the bar.
Across SW London, free. Check your postcode below. Your delivery day is fixed by area, and we tell you the day before your first box.
Every Tuesday morning you get an email with the week's edit. Mark what you love and what you don't, once or every week, and we build your box around it. Your dislikes never arrive. Do nothing and your box still comes, built from your saved tastes and the best of the week.
No. There is no contract and no minimum. Skip a week, pause for a month, slow down to every 2, 3 or 4 weeks, change size, or cancel from your account. Going away is what the skip button is for.
Item for item, we sit near the supermarket's premium ranges. The difference is that everything in the box was picked at its best and chosen around your tastes, so it gets eaten.
Leave a safe-place note on your account and we follow it. The packaging holds up fine on a doorstep, though the strawberries would rather you were quick.
British when it is at its best, European when ours is not ready. We will never pretend a February tomato is from down the road. The grower and place is on every line, wherever it grew. We also support some fantastic hyper-local farms.
